The defending NASCAR champion Ryan Blaney and his teammate Joey Logano, the two-time NASCAR champion have been struggling to put their Ford cars in the front row. Amidst the impressive performance of both the RFK Racing cars who also are the product of the same manufacturer, Ford is making waves in the 2024 season. On the other hand, Joey Logano’s best finish came at Richmond with a runner-up, however, he remains winless in the 2024 season and finds himself in a challenging position alongside his teammate Ryan Blaney.

In a recent episode of SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Logano revealed that they have been experimenting with various strategies and setups as nothing seems to be working in their favor this season. Logano acknowledged that the RFK Fords are performing exceptionally well, and he believes that his team is unaware of what RFK Racing is doing differently with their Fords. Despite Penske’s efforts to emulate RFK’s strategies, they have failed to match the performance level of the #17 and #6 cars.
Expressing his frustration, Logano admitted, “You start to hit the panic button a little bit […] it’s not a great place to be, if I’m being real.” This candid statement reflects the challenges and pressure faced by Logano and his team as they strive to improve their performance in the competitive NASCAR season.
Joey Logano highlights the connection between US Air Force and NASCAR
Joey Logano, known for his racing prowess on the NASCAR track, recently had the opportunity to step out of his fire suit and into a flight suit. His destination? The 77th Fighter Squadron, also known as the “Gamblers,” at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. This unique experience allowed Logano to explore the similarities and differences between the high-speed world of racing and the adrenaline-fueled realm of fighter jets.
Logano quickly noticed parallels between racing and the Air Force. Both domains emphasize teamwork and preparation. Just as a NASCAR team collaborates to fine-tune their race car, fighter squadrons meticulously prepare for their missions. Whether it’s adjusting aerodynamics or ensuring the jet’s systems are optimized, attention to detail is critical. Logano appreciated the shared commitment to excellence and discipline.
