Kyle Larson experienced a challenging moment during the NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. While leading the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400, his right rear tire detached from his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Camaro. Unfortunately, this mishap resulted in a critical two-lap penalty, causing Larson to go from first place to being two laps down.
Just seconds after Larson’s team communications mentioned a loose wheel, the right-rear wheel came off under caution following a spin by Carson Hocevar on Lap 115 at Texas Motor Speedway. Despite leading for 77 laps, this unexpected incident significantly impacted Larson’s race performance.
But in the end, his teammate Chase Elliott who was searching for the win in the last 42 races finally won the race after a dramatic day with 16 cautions flag at Texas.
