Ross Chastain had a really good day at Texas and at one moment it seemed like Chastain may snatch a lead from Chase Elliott. However, an unfortunate incident broke the hopes of the Trackhouse Racing driver as he was involved in a crash with William Btron during the restart.

As per the video of the crash, it seemed like William Byron and Ross Chastain pressed their throttles hard to overtake Chase Elliott. On the first lap after the second restart, Ross Chastain attempted to block Elliott’s advance. Unfortunately, he got bumped from behind by William Byron, who seemed like come fast toward Ross Chastain.

The impact caused Chastain to lose control, and he crashed into the outside wall. That resulted in the hard end of Chastain’s day as he finished 32nd. There was one more moment in the race that raised the eyebrows of many and reminded the rivalry of last year.

Denny Hamlin vs Chase Elliott

As the laps dwindled, Hamlin and Elliott found themselves side by side, battling for supremacy. The AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 witnessed their relentless pursuit of victory. With the checkered flag tantalizingly close, they entered turn 3 of the 1.5-mile-long track.

Hamlin, known for his aggressive driving style, attempted a daring maneuver. He dove inside the race track, pushing the limits in pursuit of the lead. However, the risk proved costly. Hamlin’s car got loose, sending him spinning off into the wall. The caution flag unfurled, and the race headed into overtime.

Chase Elliott capitalized on Hamlin’s error. Seizing the opportunity, he surged ahead and clinched victory during the extra laps. The win not only ended Elliott’s winless streak but also marked a pivotal moment in his championship pursuit. The Hendrick Motorsports driver had triumphed where Hamlin faltered.
