Retired boxing superstar and fifteen times world champion Floyd Mayweather is set to come out of retirement next year as he has announced to step inside the ring on 28th February 2021 at the Tokyo Dome.
Floyd Mayweather will be back in action in Japan after a 2-year hiatus
With an astounding 50-0 professional record plus 27KOs, Floyd Mayweather was last seen in action against Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018. However, his last pro bout dates back to 2017 to the historical fight against UFC icon Conor McGregor. Moreover, his last fight against a boxer is two more years in the past- when Mayweather faced Andre Berto in September 2015.
However, “Money” will return to the ring next year as per reported by Michael Benson of talkSPORT, who took to Twitter to reveal the massive announcement.
“Floyd Mayweather will return to the ring for a fight at Tokyo Dome on Feb 28th. Details scarce, but Floyd called into a presser to announce he would compete on same show as new MMA event ‘MEGA 2021’. Previously beat Tenshin Nasukawa in a 2018 exhibition at a RIZIN event,” Benson tweeted.
