Erling Håland, the 20-year-old striker has experienced an extraordinary 2019/20 campaign with the Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund.
He has showcased brilliant performances throughout the season. On the debut season with the club, he has netted 16 goals in 18 appearances which proves to be a great feat.
Michu, the former Swansea City striker recently spoke with Radio MARCA. He recalled the time when the Norwegian International who had just began his career.
The Spanish striker said, “When I was in England, he was very young and he was just starting out.I had a very good first season at Swansea and I suppose he ended up watching my matches.”
“For me, it’s an honour because I think he’s a player that’s going to define a decade in this sport. He has it all: youth, goalscoring, he’s very quick despite his height, he’s good with both feet.”
The 34 year old claimed, “I think he’s going to be one of the best strikers in Europe.But he’s very young, he’s got a good head on those shoulders and we’ll soon see him at a great team like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich.”
Michu believes, “If he continues with that progression, he’ll fight for the Golden Boot and Ballon d’Or every season.He’s got all the ingredients to be the best player in the world.”
Erling Håland did Michu’s old celebration after scoring in the match against Northern Ireland.
Michu explained, “I did it because when things are steady and having an opinion is free, there are people that really have a go at you.”
“When you score goals, everyone that was criticising you isn’t being listened to at that moment.”
“I don’t know if Håland does it because of that, but it’s an honour that he does it. For me, he’s one of the best strikers in Europe.”
Erling Håland is one of the best strikers across the whole world. With this much amount of potential and the performances he is putting up, he will undoubtedly be a top star in the football history.
It would not be a surprise if he dominates the decade by winning the prestigious Ballon d’Or consecutively.
