Reputed boxing trainer Eddy Reynoso continues to achieve success, as the Mexican coach is all set to be coveted with the 2023 National Sports Award, and his greatest pupil, Canelo Alvarez, has some special commendations for him.
On Monday, the vote was held, and Reynoso, who trains the reigning super middleweight champion of the world, was confirmed as one of the winners.
In a statement, the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports announced the winners according to what was done in the period from October 2022 to October 2023.
“The boxing specialist trainer, Edison Omar Reynoso Sandoval, has positioned himself as one of the best on the international scene.” an official statement from the organization read. “In which he has reaped preponderant results.”
“Great news for Mexican boxing Eddy Reynoso has been selected to receive the National Sports Award! Well deserved great strategist, dedicated to creating champions and eternal dumbbell of @Canelo,” wrote WBC prez Mauricio Sulaiman on X.

Eddy is known for being the man who has been in Canelo’s corner since the undisputed champion began his career in the squared circle.
In the period for the award, Eddy marked two wins with Canelo, against John Ryder in May and against Jermell Charlo in September. However, he also had two defeats, in the corners of Óscar Valdez and with Joselito Velázquez.

Canelo, who has tasted the sweetness of triumph at the hands of Eddy, reacted to the recognition of the Conade.
