Francis Ngannou has a number of options to pick from in his next fight, but the MMA star turned boxer is focused on getting Tyson Fury in the ring once again.

My best scenario in boxing is to wait for Fury: Francis Ngannou

The former UFC heavyweight champ was inches off from pulling possibly one of the biggest upsets in the history of boxing when he lost a very close, controversial split decision against Fury, and even dropped the WBC champ in round three of their 10-round fight in Riyadh last Saturday.

Ngannou’s performance against the top heavyweight boxer earned him lots of accolades from the fight game fans, with talks of boxing Anthony Joshua or a mixed rules contest against Deontay Wilder gaining potential.

However, for “The Predator”, having a second go against “The Gypsy King” is where his focus lies for now.

“The rematch is what I want next the most,” said Ngannou in a recent intreview with TMZ. “As for right now I feel like there is a lot of options for me, but I want to choose wisely, and I would go for the rematch first.”

“My best scenario in boxing is to wait for Fury. If Usyk can step out and let me fight Fury, I’ll fight Fury, then I’ll let them do whatever they do. I’ll go back, maybe do some MMA fight and come back with some people in boxing. I’m planning to fight potentially twice next year, [starting] maybe February or March.”

“Who am I gonna appeal to? [The British Boxing Commission]?” said Ngannou on believing that he was robbed off the win over Fury. “I have no chance. I think that’s just another way of humiliation.” [H/T Boxing Scene]
