Philadelphia Eagles security chief Dom DiSandro will not be permitted on the field for the remaining four regular-season games as reported by the Associated Press. DiSandro was banned from the sideline after a scuffle with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw which led to both the player and staffer getting ejected from the game. DiSandro was also reportedly facing a whopping $100K.
Dom DiSandro appealed for the fine
Per the Associated Press, that appeal was denied and The Eagles reportedly paid the fine. As per a pool report from NFL referee Walt Anderson on December 3, DiSandro was “contributing to the escalation” of the argument.
This led to him being ejected from the game. It has come to light that DiSandro can still travel with the team and perform his game-day activities. However, he cannot be on the field for the remainder of the games in regular season. Greenlaw was fined $10,927 by the league for the unnecessary roughness penalty but was not suspended.
#49ers fans, this jackass/not part of the @Eagles coaching staff known as Dom DiSandro (security chief) will be banned from their sideline for the rest of the regular season. Should be for the year, security has no business being involved in the game. #NFL pic.twitter.com/zZ82TH469V

What does the rulebook says?
DiSandro’s suspension was handled via Article 8 of the NFL rulebook, which states that non-player personnel of a club are forbidden from making unnecessary physical contact with or directing abusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures at opponents, game officials, or representatives of the League.
It has been also noted that violations before or during the game may also result in disqualification. Any violations at the game site on the day of the game, including postgame, may result in discipline by the Commissioner.
