QB Jalen Hurts Thinks ‘The Eagles’ Lacks Commitment

Jalen Hurts looked disappointed after Eagles continue the disappointment and went on a 3-game losing streak. Their last win was against the Buffalo Bills on week 12, after that, it all went downhill as they lost against the 49ers, Cowboys, and the Seahawks. The 49ers and Cowboys were tough opponents but the Seahawks were comparatively weak.

The Seahawks went to the game on the back of 4 straight losses and were starting a backup quarterback. This loss made the fans furious and made them question the management and the players. A blown lead and a failed Last-minute drive triggered the fans the most.

However, it seems Hurts knows where the problem lies

I’ve been talking about execution all year,” Hurts said. “Being on the same page, everyone being on the same page. We didn’t execute. I don’t think we’re, we’re all, we’re committed enough. Just got to turn it around. You know, it’s a challenge that we have to embrace. Just continue to see it through”

Hurts was asked what he meant by that.

“Commitment,” Hurts said. “I don’t have a dictionary on me now. . . . I don’t know how else to say that.”

How are you seeing that present itself?” he was asked.

“It’s a matter of being on the same page,” Hurts said. “It takes everyone being all in, in all aspects. And it starts with me.”

According to Hurts Eagles have to commit more to their game and put in more effort. They still have the chance to turn it around.

They still have three games left on the regular season schedule. They face the Giants on the 3rd then the Cardinals and finally face The Giants again.

Eagles fans calling for Brian Johnson’s ouster

Many fans pointed the finger at Brian Johnson. Brian Johnson took over as Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator after the Indianapolis Colts hired Shane Steichen as head coach. He and the Eagles did well initially but after winning 10 of their first 11 games they choked and went on to lose 3 games at a stretch. Despite the blame, Hurts thinks that it is his and his team’s lack of commitment that cost them the victory, which is surprising because this was almost the same team that almost won the Super Bowl last year.

They clinched a playoff spot Sunday with the 49ers winning and the Falcons and Packers losing but still, fans are worried if the Eagles will be able to perform against much tougher teams.

Eagles are currently ranked 2nd in their group below the Cowboys but above the Giants and Commanders. This team has proved before that they can perform under pressure and reach new heights but as Jalen Hurts said they need to focus and commit to their game.
