Britney Spears Has Deactivated Instagram Following ‘Hold Me Closer’ Teaser

‘Baby One More Time’ singer Britney Spears deactivated her Instagram account one more time following the teaser of ‘Hold Me Closer’ duet with Elton John, as the pop star claims she is “choosing happiness and joy.”

The popstar’s name is no longer available in the Instagram app when searched. Certainly, this is not the first time the singer has deactivated her account. Previously this summer, her account vanished shortly, after her fairytale wedding with Sam Asghari, just some months later she deleted her account for the first time.

As per Page Six, both times the account was reactivated within a few days.

On 24th August Wednesday came the news of her recent deactivation after she teased her “first song in 6 years” sharing her excitement regarding the upcoming collaboration song with Elton John. Spears wrote to her twitter, “learning my space is valuable and precious.”

“I tell myself every day to let go of the hurt bitterness and try to forgive myself and others to what may have been hurtful,” she tweeted.

On Wednesday night she began twitting in a series: “Okie dokie … my first song in 6 years!!! It’s pretty d—n cool that I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time … @eltonofficial!!!!”

Spears added that she’s a bit “overwhelmed” by the opportunity, and pointed out that “it’s a big deal to me.”

Then the “Gimme More” singer shared a big decision she has made with her Twitter followers which is almost 56 million.

She elucidated in a second tweet, “I’m learning everyday is a clean slate to try and be a better person and do what makes me happy … yes I choose happiness today.”

“I tell myself every day to let go of the hurt bitterness and try to forgive myself and others to what may have been hurtful.”

She continued, “I want to be fearless like when I was younger and not be so scared and fearful. I pray there actually is truth to the Holy Spirit and I hope that spirit is with my children as well !!! Yes … I choose happiness and joy today!!!”

She had shared a brief snippet hours earlier on Instagram of  “Hold Me Closer,” her song with the legendary icon, set to arrive on Friday. The clip shows the pair are singing the opening verse to John’s hit “The One,” which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1992. The teaser is featuring a club-ready beat, then transitions into his 1971 favorite “Tiny Dancer.”

The 13-year conservatorship was terminated by Los Angeles in November 2021, Spears has opened up about the alleged abuses she suffered under the restrictive legal guardianship she was in.

Frequently she shared her honest thoughts about her situation, her family, and more in prolonged Instagram posts which included one of Monday. She revealed in that she “will be forever traumatized by my past experience for life,” noting that “there is no way to fix me, my emotions and my sensitivity.”
