Bob Arum was subjected to major criticism from the boxing fandom for his recent comments towards WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford. However, the Top Rank CEO is unfazed from all the backlash and stands firm over his opinion.
American boxing stalwart Terence Crawford walked out of his fourth successful title defense against Kell Brook with a 4th round knockout victory at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas last Saturday.

Bob Arum, who promotes Crawford, took a jibe at the champion soon after the title bout, saying that he had lost a huge amount of money over the undefeated pugilist, citing the choice of his opponents to be the reason.
“I could build a house in Beverly Hills on the money I lost on him in the last three fights,” Arum told The Athletic.
However, his comments brought in a massive reprimand from all around, especially from UFC president Dana White, who called Arum a ‘f****** scumbag’.
“You f****** signed a deal with this kid, at how many people we have on the roster, our roster is very inflated right now,” Dana had hurled at Arum, “Pay your f****** fighter what you owe him, do you job. Bob Arum is a piece of f****** s****.”
The truth is I’ve lost money with Terence Crawford: Bob Arum
Despite all the heat, Bob Arum decided to stick to his words and reiterated once again the claim of monetary loss that Crawford had caused him.
“I don’t give a sh*t,” Arum said in an interview with BoxingScene, “I don’t care because what (the Crawford camp) did was reprehensible. The lawyer sent a letter to us. OK, that’s fine. That’s what lawyers do. But you don’t release it to the press.
“All of this should have been behind closed doors like what men do. I’m not going to take this sh*t. I’m just not going to do it, because the truth is I’ve lost money with this guy,” the Top Rank boss added.
“It will be another hit on my net worth,” Arum even insisted on not promoting any Crawford fight in the future, “I’m being serious. I turned the whole project of Crawford over to Todd (duBoef). I washed my hands of it. I’m too emotional about it.”
