Anna Lewandowska, former karate practitioner and wife of Robert Lewandowski is on the verge of making her debut in mixed martial arts as she recently revealed that the boss of Polish MMA organization KSW made her an offer.
Anna Lewandowska reveals her husband was unenthusiastic about the offer
A former karate practitioner with 38 medals to her name, Lewandowska revealed on her WojewódzkiKędzierski podcast that she had received a rather attractive proposal from Martin Lewandowski, the owner of KSW to join the company.
“I had a coffee with Slawomir Peszko, the owner of KSW, and he told me to try something new. She calculated that it was two years of preparation. I told him that I wanted to discuss it with my husband first.”
The FC Barcelona star’s wife, who is a member of the prestigious Pruszkow Karate club, also revealed that she would consider the offer if she wasn’t Lewandowski’s wife.
Even though Lewandowska is interested, it is not the same case for the Barça striker, surprised by this news, and not very open to this eventuality, as she revealed further.
“I left the meeting and an hour later, this information appeared in the press. My husband heard about it in the press and asked me, ‘Anna, what are you doing, what are these articles?'”
Attracted by combat sports, the former karateka reveals she would have ndded to the offer if she wasn’t the wife of Lewandowski. “I told Robert that if I weren’t his wife, I would probably participate in something like this.”
According to Polish media, these discussions date back several years, but the possibility of seeing Lewandowska in MMA still exists. Julita Gorska, one of the co-owners of KSW, shared in a press conference her desire “to bring new names into this world, I have always aimed high (…) We dream of Lewandowski’s wife, Anna. She has already his background, her karate experience, so why not? We’ll see, everything is in front of us.”
