REPORTS ABOUT BRAUN STROWMAN’S INJURY

Reports had previously stated that Strowman, while not a part of the Championship Contendership tournament WWE was hosting at Raw, would be provided with the chance to face WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at the upcoming TLC pay per view. But, AJ Styles went on to win a triple threat match at the most recent episode of WWE Raw to book a spot in the pay per view event as the opponent of McIntyre.

While this makes one believe that Strowman’s injury is indeed serious, Bryan Alvarez, on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reported that it is otherwise. He noted that ‘The Monster Among Men’ was supposed to face the WWE Champion at TLC, but then the leg injury occurred at Survivor Series. He said there was no news about surgery, so Strowman was probably just getting some rehabilitation to heal his injured leg. He is not supposed to be out for a long time.

“The story, as noted, is that Braun was scheduled to face Drew McIntyre at TLC but he got the leg injury and he is rehabbing it. I didn’t hear anything about surgery, just that they are rehabbing it. Presumably, he won’t be out that long but I guess we’ll see,” he said.

HE WAS STORYLINE SUSPENDED FROM WWE TO PROVIDE HIM REHAB TIME

As per WWE’s storyline, Braun was suspended for attacking WWE official Adam Pearce, who has slowly taken an authoritative role in the televised events, at Raw. This happened while he demanded a title shot which Pearce refused to hand him to.

HE IS QUITE A SUCCESSFUL WWE SUPERSTAR

Strowman is a one-time Universal Champion, a one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion and a two-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champion (with Nicholas and Seth Rollins).

He is also the winner of the 2018 Men’s Money in the Bank contract, the winner of the titular match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, and the winner of the 2019 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. In 2020, at WrestleMania 36, he won the Universal Championship, his first world title.
