Drake’s brand new mansion in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles sustained an intrusion and remarkably, that’s not the craziest part of the incident, as the perpetrator demanded that the Canadian singer and rapper was his father.
The intruder, 23, claimed Drake to be his father
As reported by TMZ, on Friday 15th July, cops were called to Drake’s mansion after a property staff spotted a stranger near the pool. The 23-year-old intruder was questioned by the Los Angeles Police Department to which he claimed Drake to be his dad and he was just waiting for him to arrive home.
The police did not acquire the tale and shackled him for misdemeanor trespassing. However, the intruder didn’t make it to get inside the house, nor was the rapper present at his mansion during the trespassing.
Interestingly, it is not the first time that a Drake-owned residence has had an intruder. Back in 2017, a “super stalker” known as Mesha Collins broke into his property in Hidden Hills, swapping several items including sodas and water.
Collins was caught by the cops wearing one of the rapper’s hoodies and after claiming that she had been granted access to the property and later even sued her idol for $4 billion, accusing him of defamation and leaking private information.
The four-time Grammy award winner had purchased the enormous property of 20 acres in the Beverly crest neighborhood. Earlier, it belonged to British pop star Robbie Williams and back in March, Drake dropped $75 million for the estate.
The property has 10 bedrooms, 22 bathrooms and 11 garages, along with a games room, gym, tennis court, outdoor kitchen and mosaic tiled pool- spanning across 25,000 square feet which is reportedly the largest in the 90210 postcode.
The luxury mansion is the first time Drake has owned real estate in Los Angeles and it adds to the 35-year-old musician’s 50,000-square feet pad located in his hometown of Toronto, Canada.
At the time of the intrusion, Drake was in Sweden, handling another police-related matter. He had posted a document recently on his Instagram account on Sunday, which was supposedly proclaimed by Swedish authorities.
The letter asserts that Drake was suspected of a crime and “subsequently detained,” according to TMZ. The rapper’s team, however, turned down speculations that he was being held on a marijuana-related charge.
