2020–21 NBA Week 3 results: scores, standings, match summary and highlights

Week 3 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and its time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of all teams.

Monday, 4th January

Magic trounced Cavaliers 103-83 to pick up their fifth win. Aaron Gordon scored 24 points with 11 rebounds and 1 assist.

Tobias Harris landed 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists for 76ers as they trounced defeated Hornets 118-101.

Knicks brushed off Hawks 113-108 with Julius Randle securing 28 points, 17 rebounds and 9 assists.

Bam Adebayo pulled Heat to a 118-90 victory over Thunder, having scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

Celtics handed Raptors their fifth defeat this season with a 126-11 victory. Jayson Tatum landed 40 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

Mavericks outpaced Rockets 113-100. Luka Doncic scored 33 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists.

Giannis Antetokounmpo shined with 43 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists as Bucks thrashed Pistons 125-115.

Pacers edged out Pelicans 118-116 with Malcolm Brogdon scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists.

Stephen Curry clocked 30 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 assists as Warriors defeated Kings 137-106.

Tuesday, 5th January

Nets thrashed Jazz 130-96 with Kyrie Irving scoring 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

Grizzlies contested close against Lakers who were victorious 94-92. LeBron James landed 26 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists.

Nikola Jokic secured 35 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists for Nuggets as they defeated Timberwolves 123-116.

Spurs clinched a 116-113 win against Clippers as Dejounte Murray clocked 21 points with five rebounds and assists each.

Bulls outflanked Trail Blazers 111-108. Coby White scored 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

Wednesday, 6th January

Malcolm Brogdon scored 35 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists to power Pacers to a 114-107 win over Rockets.

Magic thrashed Cavaliers once again, winning the game 105-94. Nikola Vucevic scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

76ers earned their 7th victory by defeating Wizards 141-136, with Joel Embiid scoring 38 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.

Gordon Hayward landed 44 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists for Hornets as they upset Hawks 102-94.

Celtics walked out with a close 107-105 win over Heat. Jaylen Brown scored 21 points 12 rebounds and 5 assists.

With 30 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists, Julius Randle led Knicks to a 112-100 win over Jazz.

Jerami Grant’s 31 points couldn’t pull Pistons to a win as they were trounced 130-115 by Bucks, with Giannis scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

Thunder‘s close contest against Pelicans earned them a 111-110 win as Darius Bazley scored 20 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists.

Suns outflanked Raptors 123-115 with Devin Booker scoring 24 points, 1 rebound and 6 assists.

Clippers got the better of Warriors with a 108-101 victory. Paul George landed 21 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists.

Kings paddled to a 128-124 win against Bulls, with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists contributed by Richaun Holmes.

Thursday, 7th January

76ers were surprised by Nets, defeating them 122-109. Caris LeVert secured 22 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists.

Cavaliers went back to winning ways by thrashing Grizzlies 94-90 with Andre Drummond scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists.

While Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic both tied at a score of 38 points, it was Mavericks who paced ahead of Nuggets with a 124-117 victory.

Spurs handed Lakers their third upset this season, winning the contest 119-109. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 28 points, one more than LeBron James.

With scoring 39 points, Damian Lillard powered Trail Blazers to a 135-117 win over Timberwolves.

Friday, 8th January

Pistons bounced back against Suns 110-105, with Jerami Grant landing 31 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.

Despite a superb effort of 41 points from Bradley Beal, Wizards were defeated 116-107 by Celtics. Jaylen Brown scored 27.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 25 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists to pull Thunder to a 101-89 win over Knicks.

Hornets trounced Pelicans 118-110. Gordon Hayward scored 26 point, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Rockets powered to a 132-90 win against Magic. Christian Wood landed 22 points and 15 rebounds.

Grizzlies paced to their third win this season, defeating Nets 115-110 despite 41 points from Caris LeVert. Brandon Clarke scored 21.

Donovan Mitchell scored 32 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists as Jazz earned a 131-118 win over Bucks.

Warriors outperformed Clippers to clinch a 115-105 victory. Stephen Curry landed 38 points with 2 rebounds and 11 assists.

Lakers edged out Bulls 117-115 as LeBron James scored 28 points plus 7 rebounds and assists each.

Raptors broke their losing streak against Kings with a 144-123 win. Fred VanVleet secured 34 points.

Saturday, 9th January

Tyrese Maxey’s score of 39 proved ineffective against Nuggets as they thrashed 76ers 115-103. Nikola Jokic finished with 15 points.

LaMelo Ball scored 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists as Hornets defeated Hawks 113-105.

Suns clinched a 125-117 win over Pacers. Mikal Bridges scored 34 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Heat‘s Jimmy Butler contributed 26 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists as they defeated Wizards 128-124.

Khris Middleton landed 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists as Bucks trounced Cavaliers 100-90.

Spurs handed Timberwolves their 7th loss this season with a 125-122 victory. DeMar DeRozan earned 38 points.

Mavericks cruised to a 112-98 win against Magic. Tim Hardaway Jr. landed 36 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

Trail Blazers outpaced Kings 125-99 with CJ McCollum scoring 37 points plus 3 rebounds and assists each.

Sunday, 10th January

The clash between Heat and Celtics was postponed as the formers did not have enough available players.

Jazz won against Pistons 96-86, with Mike Conley securing 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

Zach LaVine’s score of 45 proved ineffective against Clippers as they edged out Bulls 130-127. Paul George finished with 28.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shined once again with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists as Thunder beat Nets 129-116.

Nuggets earned their fifth win with a 114-89 victory against Knicks. Nikola Jokic scored 22 points.

With 27 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist, Anthony Davis boosted Lakers to a 120-102 win over Rockets.

Timberwolves got the better of Spurs, thrashing them 96-88. D’Angelo Russell scored 27 points with 5 rebounds and assists each.

Warriors finished the neck to neck battle against Raptors 106-105. Draymond Green landed 10 points 9 rebounds and 10 assists.
