WWE has yet again released a number of talents, including a few high-profile superstars. Through an entire day, exactly a year after the infamous roster cut, the company has regularly updated the fans on the release of superstar after superstar.
MICKIE JAMES AND SAMOA JOE ARE THE MOST SURPRISING OF THE CUTS BY WWE
Mickie James is perhaps the most high-profile talent to be released in the recent group. James is particularly known for her excellent matches during an era where women were not treated as serious performers by the company. In the recent years, she has been working as a veteran wrestler ready to lose to rise the profile of another female Superstar.
Samoa Joe has also been released, probably the most surprising name in the list. Joe has been working as a commentator for the past few months following an injury. He has been used as a serious threat to main eventers, with two NXT Championship and a United States Championship reign in his WWE career.
A FURTHER 8 SUPERSTARS HAS BEEN RELEASED BY THE COMPANY
Both members of The Iiconics, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, has been released by the company. The company’s decision to split the tag team was highly criticized and the duo did little of note after the split.
Bo Dallas, brother to Bray Wyatt, has been released as well. Dallas has not been seen in the ring for quite some time, although he was backstage at WrestleMania 37. He has reportedly already planned a career beyond wrestling, a real-estate business with partner Liv Morgan.
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner Mojo Rawley has also been released, as has been former NXT Tag Team Champion Wesley Blake, who since his split with partner Buddy Murphy, did nothing of note.
Tucker, formerly a part of Heavy Machinery alongside Otis, has been released. Since his heel turn on his popular partner, Tucker was soon taken off television and was used on B-level shows. Chelsea Green, who once got injured during her debut, has also been let go bu the company.
Kallisto, former United States Championship, best known for his entertaining feud against Ryback, and in the recent days as a member of the Lucha House Party has been let go. As a recurring occurence in the list, he too, split from his group not long before the cut.
