CHELSEA GREEN IS AMONGST 10 TALENTS RELEASED BY WWE

WWE has yet again released a number of talents, including a few high-profile superstars. Through an entire day, exactly a year after the infamous roster cut, the company has regularly updated the fans on the release of superstar after superstar.

Mickie James and Samoa Joe are the most surprising and high profile superstars to get cut from the roster but the list does not end there. Others to cut include both members of the Iiconics: Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, Kallisto, Tucker, Wesley Blake, Mojo Rawley, Bo Dallas and Green.

“I’ve made once in a lifetime memories at WWE. I didn’t do everything I set out to do, but I’m proud of what I have done. (Can you say you were in a Royal Rumble for 14 seconds?) I’m proud of the fact that I never took NO for an answer (even after 4 tryouts and a reality show). I’m proud of the fact that I came back stronger every single time I was knocked down (or broke an arm). Although it’s been a few years, nothing has changed. I’m still that girl. Tomorrow, I’ll get up, dust myself off and start on my next journey. I’m taking back control, I’m refocusing and I’m going to do what I’ve always set out to do – Make a name for myself. It’s been short & sweet WWE Universe. I’ll see you on TV,” Green said.

SHE IS BETTER KNOWN BY HER IMPACT WRESTLING PERSONA

Better known as her Impact Wrestling persona: Laurel Van Ness, she debuted in NXT in late 2018. In March 2020, following the wind-up of Green’s partnership with Stone, WWE had planned to call her up to Raw, but after the show’s executive director Paul Heyman left the position, the plan was scrapped.

She finally made her SmackDown debut on the November 13 edition of the show, where she participated in a fatal four-way qualifying match against Liv Morgan, Natalya, and Tamina to earn a spot at Survivor Series as part of the women’s team, which Morgan won. It was later revealed that her injury led to a change in the match’s finish; she was originally planned to win the match.
