The premature death of Ryan Smile, the 31-year-old wrestler based in Birmingham has shocked the wrestling world.

Smile was a wrestler who performed in the independent circuit promotions. He worked in independent promotions of Ireland based, Over The Top Wrestling(OTT) and the UK based Revolution Pro.

As per the reports, he was struggling with mental issues but the reason of death has not been disclosed publicly.

Alex Windsor, Ryan Smile’s partner and fellow wrestler said, “I cannot believe I’m having to write these words…”

“On Tuesday morning, Ryan passed away after losing his battle with mental health, a battle in which he had been fighting for a long time. I can’t fathom the words to express how I’m feeling right now.”

“To anyone who knew Ryan, whether through wrestling or on a personal level, it’s with an extremely heavy heart that I have to break this tragic news.”

Many WWE stars have condoled the tragic death of the 31-year-old Ryan Smile.

The former WWE United States Champion, Ricochet took to Twitter and wrote:

“So young. You will be missed Ryan.

R.I.P. Ryan Smile 🙏🏽”

Mia Yim, who goes by the name of Reckoning in WWE vigilante group known as RETRIBUTION also paid tribute to the wrestler.

She wrote: “Can’t believe this. One of the people to help me and welcome me during my first UK tour.”

Matt Riddle posted a picture of Ryan and captioned: “RIP Ryan Smile and thank you for the matches and memories you will be missed”

WWE talent, Ashton Smith wrote: “RIP Ryan Smile always bags of energy and bags of charisma. Couple of backstage stories still crack me up to this day ❤️”

Over the Top Wrestling released an official statement: “Our team is devastated to learn of the loss of Ryan Smile. His talent and contribution set the standard for what British/Irish wrestling was to become. A tragic loss RIP.”

Pete Dunne, WWE United Kingdom Champion also posted a picture and captioned: “Rest in Peace Ryan, thanks for everything.”
