In a surprising news, major WWE superstars, including the likes of former World Champion Braun Strowman and recently repackaged Aleister Black has been released by the company.

Braun Strowman

THE RELEASES OF BRAUN STROWMAN AND ALEISTER BLACK WERE THE MOST SHOCKING ONES

The release of Braun Strowman is possibly the most shocking amongst the list. Just 17 days before being cut, Strowman featured in a World Championship match at a Pay-per-view event, where Strowman could not win the WWE Championship against former Champion Drew McIntyre and reigning Champion Bobby Lashley.

Aleister Black’s case is similarly shocking. While a long seven-month-long sabbatical had sparked rumours of a release, he was recently repackaged in what seemed to be a devil’s advocate-like character and his promos were heavily featured in the past few episodes of WWE SmackDown. A few days back, he had made his return, attacking former Intercontinental Champion Big-E to indicate signs of a new rivalry. However, he was cut.

“Im gathering my thoughts as this was a complete left field for me as obviously we just started the dark father character but this was it, thank you so much WWE universe for allowing me to create and give you small bits of myself,” a shocked Black, dubbing himself with his old ring name of Tommy End, wrote on Twitter.

LANA, RUBY RIOTT, MURPHY AND SANTANA GARRETT ALSO FOUND THEMSELVES CUT

Amongst women, Lana and Ruby Riott has been cut from the roster. The latter marks the second, and perhaps ultimate dissolution of The Riott Squad on WWE television. Santana Garrett, who never managed to truly solidify herself as an important character in WWE, has also been released.

Buddy Murphy, who, following his storyline with the Mysterio Family, tried to regain the the good grace of “The Monday Night Messiah” Seth Rollins, and whose explanation to the loose ends of the story had to be deleted from social media by WWE orders, is no longer a part of the company.

“WWE has come to terms on the releases of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett. WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors,” the company stated on Twitter.
