The former WWE star Daniel Bryan has been rumored to join All Elite Wrestling(AEW) after his contract with WWE expired. The AEW deal seems to be almost confirmed but WWE is still not giving up on re-signing the former WWE Champion.
WWE is still attempting to keep Daniel Bryan with them
Daniel Bryan’s WWE status has been one of the most discussed topics over the last few months. Bryan had lost to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in April on Friday Night SmackDown and was “banished” from the blue brand.
Soon, reports emerged that the former WWE Champion’s contract with the company had expired and he has since been a free agent.
As per the reports of PWInsider, via Cageside Seats, Daniel Bryan is not a member of WWE’s roster anymore. The report states that WWE is still very hopeful to re-sign Daniel Bryan but AEW could sure intervene.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net had reported last month that Bryan has already signed a contract with AEW. However, no official confirmation of the deal has been made as of yet.

There have been some plans that have been chalked out for Daniel Bryan’s AEW debut. He could make his much-awaited debut at AEW Dynamite’s Grand Slam episode at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York on September 22.
Bodyslam.net reported that Bryan would “work less dates for comparable money, he wanted the ability to be able to work in Japan, and wanted to have creative input on his character, all of which he got” with AEW.
Lance Archer opens up on a potential dream match
In a recent interview with WrestlingInc, the current IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Lance Archer discussed several topics and spoke about a potential dream match against Daniel Bryan. He stated that he would happily kick the former WWE star’s b**t if he shows up. He said:
“I hear the same rumors you hear. I’m only talent, so I just kind of step in the ring, and if he wants to show up, I’ll gladly kick his b**t too. That’s kind of how I view any of the rumors. That just makes it fun for any pro wrestling fan because you hear those rumors, and you just never know who’s gonna show up where, when and how.”
We will have to see where Bryan ends up working. Will it be WWE or AEW? Only time will tell.
