The main show began with an introductory video package followed by some pyrotechnic display. Bayley faced SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair inside the Hell In A Cell structure. After a gruelling match in which Belair’s long hair was repeatedly turned into a disadvantage by the challenger, the duo used all sorts of weaponry. In thw end, Belair hit a senton splash with Bayley’s back on the ladder. The Champion then hit Bayley with the Kiss Of Death to retain her Championship.

Cesaro took on Seth Rollins in yet another match in their rivalry. After a match with no clear dominating competitor, Cesaro’s Sharpshooter attempt was foiled by “The Messiah”, who went on to apply an inside cradle for the victory. Alexa Bliss then went on to face Shayna Baszler, with Nia Jax and Reginald present ringside. In what was an unexpectedly regular match, Bliss used mind games sparsely, winning the match via pinfall by hitting a DDT and Twisted Bliss.
