Wrestlemania 37, to be held in Tampa, Florida, will be the first WWE event in more than a year to have ticketed fans in attendance.
STEPHANIE MCMAHON CONFIRMED THE PLAN FOR WRESTLEMANIA
WWE’s Chief Brand Officer and occasional on-screen personality Stephanie McMahon recently spoke to TMZ sports, where the plan to have an audience at Wrestlemania 37 was discussed.
Stephanie said she was thrilled and excited to speak about the possibility of having fans in attendance for the first time since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ticket information, however, is yet to be available, as WWE is trying to get a foothold over the situation and ways to prevent danger.
“I’m thrilled and excited because, hopefully, this will be the first opportunity for us to have our fans back in attendance,” she said.
WWE WILL TRY TO LEARN FROM SUPER BOWL
WWE is looking forward to Super Bowl, to be held at the Raymond James Stadium, to be an example before deciding their approach to their yearly mega-event, to be held at the same stadium. WWE will try to learn a lot from the event, especially the logistical section of organization.
“We’re really lucky though because the NFL Super Bowl is our lead-in this year, from Raymond James Stadium. So, we’re going to learn a lot from them, logistically, etc., and really best practices, what works, what doesn’t work,” Stephanie said.
According to Stephanie McMahon, health and safety is the priority for the WWE management, for the staff, the wrestlers and the fans, and they will look forward to discuss every step with the local organising committee and health professionals before deciding on the addition of ticketed fans.
“There’s a lot of different logistics that need to be determined, but hopefully it’ll all work out and this will be the first WWE event where we actually bring the WWE Universe back together, in person, and I cannot wait,” she added.
When asked how many fans are being planned to be let into the Raymond James Stadium for Wrestlemania, Stephanie said that plans are already in motion but she cannot disclose them yet.
