However, with his establishment as a mega superstar with his time at the capital city of Spain, the five time Ballon D’or winner made his move to Italian giant club where he equally won many individual laurels and team achievement winning Scudetto twice, Coppa Italia and other cups there is to win in Italy.

Moreover, the strain relationship between the new boss and the former Real Madrid talisman could not be really established but having to request to stay on the bench in Juventus first league match of the campaign is a clear sign of matter gone south while the Old Lady of Turin is having a difficult start to life with one point in two matches.

Finally Cristiano Ronaldo have had his wish of moving away from the Turin and to his blissful gesture of moving to his desired club in Manchester had made the fans of Manchester United more expectant of the International all time highest goal scorer.

Despite the facts that there are many advantages that both Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo would be getting in his return to former club, there is some vital issue that this reunion could hinder in Manchester United United and below are some reasons while Ronaldo’s return to United might be a bad decision.

Wage structure volatility

When Alexis Sanchez was signed by Manchester United from Arsenal in 2018, the wages command by the Chilean clearly had a ripple effect on the demand scheme of other players there causing an imbalance in the wages structure after the structure had become volatile with the inclusion of Sanchez.

Though, Cristiano Ronaldo is a phenomenal and well revered by the fans, the management, coaching crew and fellow player in the world – while Manchester United is no different. But with acquisition of Ronaldo from Juventus, the Portuguese is certainly not cheap to attract.

While having to take a pay cut to return to his former club, Cristiano Ronaldo remain the highest-paid player in the Premier League with a staggering £480,000 per week with which this amount would shift the intention of some player to demand for mor wages from the club.

The like of Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandez, Marcos Rashford and even Paul Pogna will looking to her high wages and while the French midfielder has hit a new height of footballing fiasco since his excellent Euro 2020 outing, and his contract is winding down at the end of the campaign – he might demand for exuberant wages for United to keep him.

His move will disrupt the youth progression

Manchester United and Ronaldo

With Ronaldo, there is a tendency that the likes of Mason would not have an explosive season despite the young forward explosive start to live in Premier League campaign after he constantly find the back of the net on three occasions in three games he featured so far.

Furthermore, the likes of Jason Sancho that was finally scoop from Dortmund is yet to establish himself at the theatre of dream, but there is no question of the young Englishman ability and while he needs time to fully stride into his club

More so, Marcus Rashford is currently on the sidelines and while the brilliant attacker has been the Manchester United attacker under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, his coming back would be a little difficult to get back his position.

In fact, there are many more young talent up front that the inclusion of Cristiano Ronaldo in the team will hamper there development. While Mason Greenwood will not be getting enough time again, Jadon Sancho will need to compete with other except Ronaldo, while there is no guarantee that Rashford will take the attacking leadership role anymore.

And while these players have began to establish there growth after two full season under the Norwegian tactician, it will be difficult to continue with the acquisition of the Portuguese legend and lesser could make them improve less than earlier anticipated.

Money misallocated

There is no chance that money spend on a legendary player like Cristiano Ronaldo is misallocated or at least to the ear of many – but the reality of Manchester United is that the club have began to show direction of youth policy and blending of the club’s product with some talents elsewhere.

However, the allocation of over £20 million pounds on Cristiano could have helped the bolster the midfield and had an extra option at the right back and possibly more of an attacking fullbacks who can compliment attack more that Aaron Wan Bissaka, even at a cheaper rate and cheaper wages.

But with acquisition of Ronaldo, all those is gone and the club will be hoping for the Portuguese international to prove himself once again. Though United have had the luxury of signing Sancho and Verane this summer to bolster the attack and defense

But with impending departure of Paul Pogba, Manchester United strongly needed a back-up plant to integrate new central and attacking midfielder to the team this season. Thus the allocation of money on Cristiano Ronaldo could have well cover that instance.
