Los Angeles Lakers star Lebron James had a stellar career with the Miami Heat and formed one of the deadliest partnerships in NBA history with Dwayne Wade.
From 2010 to 2014, James and Wade arrived together in the most extravagant outfits for NBA games, redefining fashion in the basketball world.
Currently, Wade is working for the NBA on TNT while his former teammate and close friend, LeBron James is aiming to win his fourth NBA title. The Lakers haven’t won the NBA title since 2010. They’ve clinched 1st seed in the NBA Western playoffs, but have delivered lacklustre performances in the NBA bubble in Orlando.
James arrived at the game sporting an unusual bare-chested outfit and a beach shirt. His ex-Heat teammate was quick to mock the outfit by trying to unbutton his own shirt.
James was averaging 25.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 10.3 assists per game for the Lakers before the NBA restart. But, he has disappointed since the resumption, shooting just 45.2 % from the field and 28.6% from beyond the arc in the NBA bubble.
His partnership with Anthony Davis, who is a finalist for the Defensive Player of the Year, is crucial to Lakers’ charge for the NBA crown in Orlando.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Wade retired from the sport in 2019. He left Miami Heat in 2016, before joining the Chicago Bulls and moving to the Cleveland Cavaliers a season later. The duo teamed up again in the Cavs, losing in the NBA finals to the Golden State Warriors. Wade, then returned to Miami in 2018 and played his last season. His first stint with James and the Heat, took them to four consecutive NBA finals. Needless to say, Dwayne Wade is a future HoF and one of the greats of the game.
LeBron has won the NBA title with the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers and will be looking to win his first title with the LA Lakers and a fourth NBA ring.
Lakers’ legend, Kobe Bryant tragically passed away earlier this year and it would mean the world to all Lakers’ fans if they are able to win the title for “The Black Mamba”.
They will face the 8th seed in the Western Conference which could be decided in a play-in series.
LeBron and his men will be looking to find their early season form for the playoffs if they want to bring back the gold to Los Angeles.
