Real Madrid the undisputed Spanish giants have won its 34th La Liga trophy, an extension of their stupendous domestic record. With still a game remaining of the 2019-20 season, Real have snitched their first La Liga triumph after three years, with a 2-1 defeat of Villareal CF at home on Friday.
Real Madrid’s last La Liga win came all the way back in the 2016-17 season, which was also the first trophy as Zinedine Zidane as their manager. Following two back to back loss of title race against the bitter rivals FC Barcelona, Los Blancos are now the crowned champions of Spanish top flight with their 34th title, extending their record trophy run.

Ftiday’s match at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano saw a stunning brace from the Galacticos goal machine Karim Benzema. The 32 year old Frenchman struck his first in the 29th minute, followed by a spot kick in the second half. Villareal, who are fifth in the table, had their consolation goal with Vicente Iborra’s 83rd minute netting.
