Trackhouse Racing, a relatively new team, was founded by Justin Marks in 2020 in the NASCAR Cup Series. After making their entry in just two years in NASCAR with three combined wins, they stood shoulder-to-shoulder with established teams like Team Penske and Joe Gibbs Racing. Recently
Connor Zilisch recently signed a multi-year contract with Trackhouse Racing as a developmental driver and he recently revealed his dream when he will race in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Recently, Zilisch took X to express his feelings after his first race in the NASCAR Truck Series said, “Growing up, I was always a road racer and that lead me to want to win the Le Mans 24-hour, but recently my No. 1 goal has been to become the youngest Cup Series champion.”
His goal is to surpass the legendary Jeff Gordon, who achieved this feat at the age of 24 years, 3 months, and 8 days. Zilisch expressed his determination, stating that while the Cup Series is challenging, becoming the champion remains his top priority.
A pole of Connor Zilisch in his debut in NASCAR
Zilisch made his NASCAR debut at the Truck Series XPEL 225 race at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA). During his debut, he set the fastest lap, reaching a top speed of 93.012 mph. Despite being just 17 years old, he secured an impressive P4 finish in the race.
Unfortunately, Zilisch encountered trouble on the first turn of the race. He locked the brakes of his No. 7 truck, causing him to fall outside the top 30. Despite this rookie mistake, he learned from it and aimed to improve.
However, he managed to stay in the free pass position by the end of stage one. Zilisch faced additional challenges, including a spin while battling in the middle of the pack. Despite two pass-through penalties during the race, he finished his first race with P4 which makes him feel like he can achieve his goal when he sees his way into the Cup Series as well.
