Denny Hamlin has been one of the most accomplished drivers with over 17 full seasons, Hamlin has consistently demonstrated his prowess on the track. His racing journey began in 2004 when he competed in five NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races with EJP Racing.

Now he has been racing with Jo Gibbs Racing, the only team in the Cup series and Hamlin clinched 52 victories under his name and he co-owns the 23XI Racing team with NBA legend Michael Jordan. With the glories stuck with Hamlin driving for JGR, will he ever drive for 23XI Racing?

Denny Hamlin on his plans for his NASCAR career

In a recent talk with Kevin Harvick on his shoe HarvickHappyHour Denny Hamlin shared that he wants to end his career with the team where he started his journey that is Joe Gibbs Racing. But how can Denny Hamlin miss a race in his car in his team?

Talking with Harvick Denny said, “There’s a few hesitations I have. One is that I want to end my career with Joe Gibbs Racing because I want to be loyal to the person that gave me my start, but yes, there is a part of me that wants to drive for 23XI, absolutely. I think, without doubt, I’ll say that I’ll certainly be racing at 23XI in at least a race at some point in my career.”

Hamlin rightly emphasizes the significance of a skilled pit crew. These unsung heroes execute lightning-fast tire changes, refuel the cars, and make critical adjustments during pit stops. Without a proficient pit crew, victory remains elusive. Hamlin acknowledges that today’s cars of both teams are remarkably similar in terms of speed.

Hamlin’s partnership with Crew Chief Chris Gabehart continues to be a critical factor in his performance. Their collaboration involves strategic decisions, car setup adjustments, and communication during races. As the season progresses, their synergy will play a pivotal role in Hamlin’s quest for success. In fact, Denny Hamlin sits in second place in the 2024 standings.

“But Denny’s led all five races this year. Been in contention at most every race in some way, shape or form at some point,” Harvick continued. “And I love his crew chief. I think Chris Gabehart is just one of those special guys that is just super detail-oriented. The way he talks and speaks to Denny, and the way they discuss things is very straightforward.” Kevin Harvick concluded.
