Tony Khan reveals the new nickname Miro earned in the locker room

AEW star Miro (formerly known as Rusev in WWE) has had multiple nicknames of whether it’s the Bulgarian Brute or The Best Man. But, the AEW President and CEO Tony Khan during the AEW Unrestricted revealed a nickname of the AEW star which the stars are familiar within the locker room.

Miro has another unique nickname

Tony Khan who had joined AEW Unrestricted had sat for an interview and he went over the match card of the upcoming AEW pay-per-view which is stacked up with high-intensity matches that the fans would be very much excited for.

When Miro’s match came up Khan went on to speak about the AEW star and revealed that he is very popular with a certain portion of the locker room especially. He then revealed that the stars in the back even have their own nickname for The Best Man which he revealed to The King Of The Boys. Yes, Miro is called by that name as mentioned by Khan.

Tony Khan said: “He’s such a popular person with a certain part of the locker room. There’s a lot of people who really like Miro. They call him The King Of The Boys.”

Miro had made his debut in AEW when he was released by his former employer WWE back in April 2020 when the released a bunch of WWE personnels due to the budget cuts in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was introduced as The Best Man of Kip Sabian and it was all part of his new gimmick which he adorned.

Tony Khan has praised the star on multiple occassions and claimed that he was not treated well in WWE and was heavily underutilized during his time in WWE. He had even said assured the fans that he had huge plans with the AEW star in the near future.

He is set to team with Kip Sabian to clash against the team of Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor at AEW’s upcoming pay-per-view Revolution. It is to be seen whether he is addressed with the new nickname on screen or he decides to carry on with the nickname which he already has.
