Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh does not doubt deciding who is the greatest quarterback in Michigan history. And it is not Tom Brady but J.J McCarthy(with a catch). Recently, Michigan thrashed Alabama 27 – 20 following a stellar performance from J.J. McCarthy.
McCarthy’s performance in the win against Alabama impressed Harbaugh so much that he wasted no time in calling McCarthy the greatest quarterback in the history of the game. some fans were quick to point out that the position McCarthy plays is the same position a certain Tom Brady used to play in.
Tom Brady celebrates Michigan’s win with a shirtless video
Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion and former University of Michigan quarterback was super excited and his happiness knew no bounds as the University of Michigan men’s football team defeated Alabama. Now the team is heading to the national championship game. Tom ‘Terrific’ Brady even took a video of himself(Instagram story) without a shirt on, celebrating and yelling out in joy after his team emerged victorious against Alabama Crimson Tide football in a Rose Bowl game.
First since 1997- Michigan is going to the finals
Michigan is set to face Washington on 9th Jan in the National Championship game. The last time Michigan made it to this game was back in 1997 when Michigan won it all under coach Lloyd Carr and Tom Brady being their main man. Harbaugh had no intention of defaming the “GOAT” by positioning a 20-year-old above Brady. Instead of feeling attacked, Tom Brady supported the statement, “Go Blue!!! No Doubt!!!” he commented on an ESPN SportsCenter Instagram post.
Brady proved again that he is built differently by appreciating the youngster and celebrating the win instead of feeding his ego.
Michigan coach clarifies his statement
when Harbaugh put some clarity on his statement it all started making sense, “I’ve said it before, but right here, this is the greatest quarterback in University of Michigan football, college football, history,” said Harbaugh. “Got a long way to go to get to get where Tom Brady eventually got to, which is the GOAT. I mean, [Brady] has lapped the field when it comes to that. But in a college career, there’s been nobody at Michigan better than J.J. I know we talk about an amalgamation of quarterbacks. He is that guy.”
