Inter Milan ace striker Romelu Lukaku had been highly criticized by the fans during his stint at English Premier League side, Manchester United. He had been performing remarkably since his move to the Serie A side but proved his doubters wrong. He recently fired back at the critics and gave the honest reply.
Romelu Lukaku reveals how he deals with the criticisms
The Belgian star recently held a Q&A session on his Twitter account. Several fans had questioned him regarding variety of topics. One of the fans had asked Romelu Lukaku about dealing with the critics of his playing style. The Tweet read:
“Big Rom, how do you deal with all the unfair criticism you have been getting from fans?Your first touch, not being a world-class striker when the numbers suggest the exact opposite?”
The Inter Milan striker was quick to respond to the fan. He came up with a bold reply and talked about his hard work which showcases his mentality on the pitch. Lukaku also said that he aims for improvement in his game and eyes to achieve victories.
Lukaku replied: “Idgaf [I don’t give a f***] to be honest.I think my work behind the scenes shows my mentality. Always try to improve and most importantly win games.”

During the session another fan had asked, “Do you think finishing top scorer at the Euros would silence your critics and confirm you as one of the world’s best strikers?”
Romelu Lukaku then responded that he works to win titles rather than focusing on individual feats. He said: “Forget the individual s**t.. i work to win titles”
Lukaku had an excellent Serie A season and helped Inter Milan win a first Serie A title in 11 years. He was able to bag 47 goals in 72 league appearances.
He is currently on his International duty with Belgium and putting up great performances in the ongoing UEFA Euro 2020. Lukaku is the joint-top scorer at the tournament with three goals under his belt.
Romelu Lukaku helped his National side secure a spot in UEFA Euro 2020 knockout stages. He scored the final goal of the match against Finland to seal the game for 2-0 as they managed to finish the group stage on a high note. They are the table toppers completing the group stage unblemished with 9 points.
