The majority of combat sports fans would have never guessed that Jake Paul will ever face a professional boxer, but the YouTuber-turned-pugilist has just hinted on a future square off against none other than Canelo Alvarez.
So far, Jake Paul’s professional career has been limited to fighting non-boxers to this point. From his debut against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib, to his brutal KO of former NBA star Nate Robinson and his most recent knockout of former multi-promotion MMA champion Ben Askren, “The Problem Child” has maintained an undefeated 3-0 record.
Jake’s upcoming fight, however, will be the toughest of his career so far. Tyron Woodley, the former UFC Welterweight Champion, will be facing the 24-year-old on 28th August in a location yet to be determined.

If not for Jake’s infamous persona in the current MMA and Boxing fraternity, many fighters have already challenged the American to a fight, even just focusing on the skyrocketing payday that his previous opponents have received.
Meanwhile, Jake has his future plan etched like this- maintain his undefeated record, knock out the combat sports names one by one to eventually place himself in the squared circle against the greatest boxers in the world, and that ultimate goal is Canelo Alvarez.
A lot of people are afraid to try, but that’s not me: Jake Paul has his aim on Canelo’s belts
The current number one pound for pound boxer in the world, Canelo holds the WBC, WBA (Super) and WBO super middleweight titles and is just one fight away from becoming undisputed at 168.
While Canelo is already destined to the sky, Jake’s aim is set on that same limit, as he opened up in a recent interview with TMZ Sports that he wishes to challenge the Mexican maestro for his belts one day.
“I’m open-minded and I think anything is possible. I think I could be fighting against Canelo Alvarez for the WBC or WBO championship belt,” Jake said in the interview, “Really, the sky is the limit. It’s just about how serious I take it, and I do take it seriously, more seriously than 99% of those professional boxers out there.”
“Why not, baby? Hey, a lot of people are afraid, right? They’re afraid to try, they’re afraid to get out of their seats, they’re afraid to do something different. But that’s them, that’s not me. I know that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to, and that’s why there’s a difference between successful and non-successful people in this world,” he added.
