Paul Heyman recalls how exactly a year ago he was rescued by Roman Reigns

The alliance of Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns has been one of the best moves from WWE and they have been a dominant force in the company. Heyman certainly elevated the status of Reigns in the company and he has reached heights of success since his return last year. The alliance has now completed a year and Heyman is overwhelmed with the fact.

Roman Reigns had returned last month at SummerSlam pay-per-view, attacking the former WWE stars Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt during their match for the WWE Universal Championship. With his actions, ‘The Tribal Chief’ made a statement that he wants the title around his waist.

It was soon revealed that Paul Heyman and Reigns have formed an alliance and they soon started ruling the blue brand. The alliance immediately had its effect as Roman Reigns captured the WWE Universal Championship at Payback pay-per-view.

Since then, nobody has been able to dethrone ‘The Head of The Table’. He has successfully defended his title against some top-drawer stars including Daniel Bryan and most recently John Cena in the main event of SummerSlam.

Paul Heyman sends an emotional message to Roman Reigns

On the first anniversary of their alliance, Paul Heyman has sent a very special message to his Tribal Chief.

Heyman sent out the following tweet, claiming that he was rescued by Roman Reigns. He went on to speak highly about the Universal Champion before ending with a bold statement that they have just begun:

“EXACTLY 1 YEAR AGO, I was rescued by @WWERomanReigns. In the 52 weeks that have transpired since then, the #TribalChief has redefined the medium, disrupted the status quo and [sic] titled the axis of what it means to be THEE top superstar in @WWE … and we’ve only just begun!”

Paul Heyman has a decision to make

It was Roman Reigns who seemingly saved Heyman after Brock Lesnar departed the company. But, shockingly enough ‘The Beast’ made his return at SummerSlam pay-per-view and had a staredown with Reigns and they are likely to collide for the title soon.

Heyman was previously the on-screen ‘advocate’ of Lesnar and we will see whose side he ends up choosing. But as of now, he is remaining on the side of Roman Reigns.
