Ric Flair and Arn Anderson are no longer close friends, and “The Nature Boy” does not even believe a Four Horsemen reunion to be possible.
THE FOUR HORSEMEN IS ONE OF THE GREATEST FACTIONS OF ALL TIME
In an interview to WrestlingInc, Flair discussed his relationship with Anderson. The duo were the most integral members of The Four Horsemen faction, whose first iteration, also involving Tully Blanchard and Barry Windham, is considered as one of the greatest factions in the history of pro wrestling. “The Nature Boy” and “The Enforcer” were members of each incarnation of the group until Anderson’s retirement after a neck injury.
The original Four Horsemen were innovative in developing and popularizing the concept of heel stables and has created multiple offshoots, reformations and recreations over the years, many of which has had support from at least one member of the original stable.
ANDERSON DID NOT TEXT FLAIR WHEN THE LATER WAS STRUGGLING
According to Flair, Arn Anderson did not text or call him during his son Reid’s funeral.
“That’s one of the reasons Arn and I aren’t close. How do you not text? We don’t do anything anymore. We don’t talk. When it’s close to his birthday, I get emotional. Like I said, one of the greatest. It’s got nothing to do with business. You just struggle with the people who you think will be there for you, and the people that you don’t think will be there are. Nothing’s bigger than the love of your children,” “The Nature Boy” said.
He also mentioned that Anderson was not the only one to not text him during the unbelievably sad moment. Neither Blanchard, Ole Anderson nor Windham felt free enough to text him. Arn Anderson’s case is even more sad to Flair, as he was like family to him, and even after the funeral, when he himself was sick, Anderson did not call or text him. It has let him to realize that even ten years of being close to each other means nothing in the end.
“The Nature Boy” is currently a recurring presence at WWE Raw in a controversial storyline with Lacey Evans and Charlotte. Arn Anderson is currently a part of The Nightmare Family and the coach of Cody Rhodes who appears almost every week at AEW Dynamite.
