The second matchday of Week 21 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and it’s time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of the teams.
Hornets 112 – 117 Nuggets
Jokic’s double-double, along with Michael Porter’s score of 30 points pushed Nuggets over Hornets at the Spectrum Center.
Jokic posted 30 points with 11 rebounds, while Graham scored 31 for the hosts.
Pistons 100 – 119 Timberwolves
Pistons dropped to their 50th loss of this NBA season as Timberwolves outflanked the hosts at the Little Caesars Arena.
Towns led the visitors with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists, while Russell added a double-double. Edwards scored 22.
Raptors 96 – 115 Clippers
Leonard joined with Mann to post 20 points each as LA Clippers locked up the Raptors at the Amalie Arena.
Zubac finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Celtics 121 – 129 Heat
Despite Butler’s eye injury halfway in the game, Heat topped themselves in the contest against Celtics at the TD Garden.
Herro scored 24 while both Adebayo and Robinson scored 22 each, countering Walker and Tatum’s 36 and 33-point performances.
Grizzlies 133 – 104 Mavericks
After a close first half, Grizzlies broke away in the second to contain Mavericks to a win at the FedExForum.
Morant scored 24, while Brooks added 22 points. Konchal posted 18 off the bench.
Pacers 103 – 94 76ers
Sabonis’ triple-double powered Pacers as they upset 76ers to mark their 33rd win of this NBA season at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Sabonis finished with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 15 assists, while McDermott added 20 points.
Bulls 107 – 115 Nets
Despite LaVine’s 41-point performance, Bulls failed to hold off Nets as the visitors won the tie at United Center.
Durant scored 21, with Harris adding 17 points. Irving, who suffered facial contusion, posted 13 points. Brown Jr finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Bucks 114 – 102 Magic
Both Giannis and Portis finished with double-doubles as Bucks thrashed Magic at the Fiserv Forum.
Giannis posted 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Portis clocked 15 rebounds for 10 points.
Warriors 122 – 116 Suns
Wiggins and Green came to the rescue as Warriors outmatched Suns to finish with a win at the Chase Center.
Wiggins scored 38, while Green posted 11 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Booker led the visitors with 34.
Lakers 101 – 99 Knicks
LeBron James-less LA Lakers had to go into overtime to narrowly edge out Knicks at the Staples Center.
Kuzma scored 23 while Davis added 20 points. Both Drummond and Hucker posted double-doubles.
Kings 122 – 106 Thunder
A pivotal 41-point Q3 paddled Kings to hold off OKC Thunder to mark their 31st win of this NBA season at the Golden 1 Center.
Davis clocked 27 points for the hosts, along with 21 points from both Hield and Wright each.
