NaVorro Bowman went on to make the All-Pro for three consecutive seasons under Harbaugh. Bowman missed his last season in 2014 for San Francisco because of a torn ACL and MCL.

NaVorro Bowman and  Jim Harbaugh were the key figures in the 49er’s journey to the Super Bowl XLVII in the 2012-2013 season. The San Francisco 49ers were defeated by the Baltimore Ravens 34-31 in the Super Bowl XLVII.

Bowman retired in 2017 after participating in his 8th season in the NFL. He played for only two NFL teams the 49ers and the Oakland Raiders, working in his home state last season at the University of Maryland as a defensive analyst came in handy as it has strengthened Bowman’s coaching resume and provided him with some coaching experience.
