Ja Morant’s season may be over after undergoing a shoulder surgery but that doesn’t stop Morant from contributing to his team. The Memphis Grizzlies all-star guard Ja Morant has recently been spotted handing out pairs of Nike Ja 1 basketball shoes to his teammates. The whole team looked excited and jubilant after getting a pair of  ‘Chinese New Year’ Ja 1s at practice from his teammate.
While handing out the shoes, Ja Morant explained how this was a collaborative giveaway of him and Nike.
“’On behalf of me and Nike. I’m giving y’all a pair of the Chinese New Year Ja 1s. I hope y’all like them. One of my top pairs so … It’s nice to be able to, ya know, give it to y’all” Morant said.

The all-new Nike Ja 1 ‘Chinese New Year’ was released just last month and has a retail price of 140 dollars. The shoe has an all-white upper texture, game royal accents, visually stunning golden hits on the heel, Swoosh, and a catchy midfoot print. In celebration for the Year of the Dragon, it has a dragon scale pattern covering the entire shoe.

Memphis Grizzlies are not having the kind of season they would really like to have as they are currently seated at 13 in the Eastern Conference, managing only 18 wins in 52 games. The Grizzlies are on a really bad run of form as they are on a 7 match-losing streak. Grizzlies have to make a lot of changes to get back on track but the one change they really look forward to is getting their All-Star guard Ja Morant back on the team sheet.
Ja Morant’s exile continues
Despite being one of the brightest players in the NBA, Ja Morant has been inconsistent and has missed most of this season. Morant has only played only 9 games this season as a 25-game suspension was imposed on Morant by the league for an off-court issue where he was seen displaying a gun in the open.
The Grizzlies have won 6 of the 9 games Morant played in, Morant averaged 25.1 points,8.1 assists, and 5.6 rebounds in 35.3 minutes in the games he played this season.
