The 2019-20 NBA Finalists are said to be keen on the player and are considering opening talks to bring the player to Miami. While the Rockets are not intending to part ways with Harden as of yet, the player is not opposed to the idea of switching base to Florida.

According to a report in the Miami Herald, both the franchise and player are not against the idea of a possible move. It also claims that Heat are least concerned about Harden’s ball-dominant style of play as they believe it attributes more to Rockets’ tactics. Two members of Miami Heat’s hierarchy are highly interested in acquiring the player.

Moreover, the franchise are also open to the idea of including 20-year-old Tyler Herro in the talks, despite branding the player as untouchable in recent negotiations. Heat had acquired Herro in the last season’s draft as a 13th overall pick and the player repaid the faith bestowed with a tidy season and elevated his game during the postseason averaging 16.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.3 three-pointers made per game

James Harden had reportedly rejected a contract extension from the Rockets and has his eyes set on four possible destinations as his next club. He is keen on a trade deal with the Brooklyn Nets that will see him reunite with Kevin Durant. The 31-year-old’s other clubs in his wishlist include Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks.

The 8-time all-star player still has 2 years left in his current contract and is yet to contact the club officials regarding a departure from the club. Rockets, on the other hand, are not willing to listen to any trade offer for their player from the Brooklyn Nets unless it includes Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant.

Houston Rockets found themselves in absolute disarray following their exit at the hands of eventual champions Los Angeles Lakers. Head coach D’Antoni parted ways with the club while ace players James Harden and Russell Westbrook were considering their future with the franchise.

Westbrook got his wish granted after Rockets agreed to a trade deal with the Washington Wizards for John Paul. While that chapter seems to be closed, newly-appointed head coach Stephen Silas is exasperated with the player after missing practice on Sunday, where he was seen attending a rapper’s party in Atalanta.

Houston Rockets opened their pre-season with a convincing 125-104 win over the Chicago Bulls and will open their regular season against Oklahoma City Thunder.
