The future of Lewis Hamilton racing for Mercedes remained uncertain until Mercedes dropped some hints recently on Twitter.

The post read, as Lewis Hamilton said, “I plan to be here next year. I want to be here next year. I think we as a team gave more to do together and more to achieve, both in the sport and even more outside it.

Mercedes have certainly missed the the British racer in Sakhir Grand Prix at Bahrain International Circuit as he was sideline with the COVID-19.

George Russell who filled in for Hamilton did not have the best of the outcomes as he finished ninth in the race.

Fans got emotional with the announcement

Lewis Hamilton had joined forces with Mercedes back in 2013. He has had quite a run with the team, tasting success for the majority of the stint.

He only missed out on winning the world championship twice. One being his debut year and another in 2016 as he was positioned second both the times.

Fans would be eagerly waiting for the official announcement to be made.
