There have been numerous speculations recently regarding Bryan and Punk. The former recently became a free agent after his contract with WWE expired, while the latter had decided to hang up his boots following his departure from WWE back in 2014.

Bryan has been expressing his desire to become a part-timer and also wanted to work with New Japan Pro-Wrestling(NJPW) and Punk, who had a forgettable stint in UFC, expressed his interest in making his much-awaited comeback to the squared circle.

During the interview, AEW coach Mark Henry said that he sees the situation of Bryan and Punk similar to Hogan and Hart.

‘The Hitman’ had made a switch to WCW following his prime and also suffered from behavioral issues in WWE. While Hogan jumped ship due to his demands of money and dates.

So, Mark Henry believes that: “They would be able to do something in AEW like when Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart went to WCW from WWE. It would be a positive step. It’s not like we have to have that in AEW, but they would be welcomed additions.”

He added: “I think it’s amazing if it happens. As a fan, I want to see it. I do think either gentleman or both gentlemen would be groundbreakers.”

Punk is slated to appear at AEW Rampage: The First Dance in Chicago but Bryan’s debut has not been decided as of yet. We will see how AEW works out on that.
