Luka Modrić is a huge inspiration to millions of football fans all over the world. The 34 year old Croatian playmaker is a gem for the Spanish giants Real Madrid. The captain of the Croatia national team, Modrić received commendation for his stellar performance in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which also earned him the Ballon d’Or in 2018. A 9 year old kid from India has paid tribute to his idol Modrić, by juggling a football 200 times. The endeavour turns to success, as the kid’s idol himself has recognised the effort!
It all started last week. On 16th July, a post was made on Twitter by @St_Hill, who shared a clip of his friend’s little boy, donning Luka Modrić’s no. 10 Real Madrid jersey and showcasing his football skills.

On his ninth birthday, the little kid decided to dedicate a clip Luka Modrić, and juggled a ball for 200 times for almost two minutes, something which even many grown up football fans will find very difficult to perform.

With millions of fan posts that footballers receive each day, it would have missed Modrić’s eye, if not Bollywood superstar Farhan Akhtar was the man in the middle. The actor himself forwarded the clip to the Croat, who was flabbergasted by the kid’s superb ball juggling skill.

Akhtar in turn thanked Modrić back, stating that the 9 year old now a lot to cherish as his idol recognised the tribute.

The original Twitter user @St_Hill replied soon expressing his gratitude for both Modrić and Akhtar , saying that the kid is now ‘over the moon’. In a second clip, the kid said ‘thank you Modrić’, while he juggled the ball some more.
