After going the distance with Floyd Mayweather in his exhibition boxing debut on 6th June that ended without a determined winner, YouTuber Logan Paul is oozing confidence and believes he can be a tough challenge to boxing virtuoso Mike Tyson.

The stupendous hype that the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul exhibition bout had generated, did not return the same excitement when it was in motion as the fight at the Hard Rock Stadium concluded without a KO, and the judges did not decide on a winner.

However, as technically being the first boxer in history to hold his ground against Mayweather, who has won every other fight in his career, was a monumental moment for Logan Paul, and the 26-year-old is even aiming higher then before- a bout against the legendary Mike Tyson.

You can’t tell me I can’t beat Mike Tyson: Logan Paul

Speaking on his podcast Impaulsive, Logan insisted that among the many names that came up as his next boxing opponent, the baddest man on the planet had intrigued him the most. However, because of Tyson’s age, Logan believes he has the chance to defeat the iconic pugilist.

“Someone mentioned Mike Tyson,” Logan said on the podcast, “My lawyer mentioned it and he’s like, ‘Nah, Tyson will rip your head off, you don’t stand a chance.’ I’m like, ‘I just went through all this.’ You can’t tell me I can’t beat Mike Tyson. He’s old, old.”

ack in November last year, Mike Tyson set the boxing fandom on its toes after his daunting return to the sport against Roy Jones Jr, the card which featured Logan’s younger sibling Jake Paul in a fight versus former NBA icon Nate Robinson.

The highly anticipated exhibition bout against Jones, which took place at the Staples Center, ended in a draw, and was ranked the biggest pay-per-view event of 2020 with a whopping 1.6 million PPV sales.

While there are yet no development on whether Tyson vs Paul would be a real thing, the 54-year-old has hinted to return to exhibition boxing this year, and last week, his coach Rafael Cordeiro revealed that the soon to be 55 boxer will be seen in action in September.

We continue training. He’s an athlete and is always training, hitting pads here in the gym. I think we’re going to have something in September,” said Cordeiro, who couldn’t drop any names as Tyson’s opponent, “I don’t know who because his company Legends Only League is working on it and negotiating a TV deal so they can announce a schedule, but we’re training. We’ll be fighting in September.”

There were rumors that Tyson’s next bout will be against former undisputed heavyweight world champion Lennox Lewis as well as his ex-nemesis Evander Holyfield. Now, Logan Paul has appeared as the third potential option.
