The stupendous hype that the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul exhibition bout had generated, did not return the same excitement when it was in motion as the fight at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday night ended in a draw.

Despite the fight seeing neither a victor nor a knockout, it was Mayweather who, unsurprisingly, led the scoring but at the end of the eight-round fight, there was no winner announced.

The bout started with Mayweather aiming to wear Paul down and took the lead in the scoring right from the get go. In the second, Paul did connect a jab, followed by landing an overhead on Floyd, and won the judges’ favor as the better fighter in the round.

The 3rd round, which turned out to be the most competitive out of the eight, saw both fighters connecting their jabs as the crowd cheered on. From the fourth round, however, Mayweather picked up the face, blasting Paul with a counter left as the YouTuber started losing momentum.

Out of air in the 5th, Paul received one after another staggering body shots that started wearing the 26-year-old down even more, who resorted to grabbing from the sixth. The final two rounds saw the actions reducing as both fighters embarked on some verbal exchanges.

With the audience jeering at the lack of action, at the end of the eighth round, the fight which was Paul’s exhibition boxing debut and Mayweather’s second exhibition bout, was announced a draw.
