Aja Smith had joined WWE in earlier this year in February and currently working as a referee. It is mention-worthy that she is first-ever full-time African-American referee to have worked in WWE.
Leon Ruff had signed a contract with WWE in back in October after a former WWE developmental system, EVOLVE shut down. In his first major championship match in WWE, he emerged victorious as he pulled off an upset for Johnny Gargano.
Last month, Ruff had won the NXT North American Championship from Johhny Gargano unexpectedly and in quite a surprising manner on an edition of NXT, after getting a little help from Damien Priest.
He had later successfully defended the title against Gargano after Damien Priest deliberately punched Ruff to cause a disqualification.
Ruff is set to make his next title defense against Johnny Gargano and Damian Priest in a Triple Threat Match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames event, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 6 at the Capitol Wrestling Center.
