The collision in the early stage of the race caused Lando Norris to lose out on scoring points.
Stroll crashed with Norris on the outside on the run to Turn 1, with Norris having at least half his McLaren on the inside.
Following the race, Norris said, “I don’t know what he was doing really. He went to the left, which I was quite surprised by when he could have very easily could have gone to the inside.”
He continued, “I was easily halfway alongside and he just turns in. He obviously didn’t learn from Friday, but he doesn’t seem to learn from anything he does.”
Norris will make sure that in the future races he stays away from Stroll.
“It happens a lot with him so I just need to make sure I stay away next time”, said Norris.
While Lance Stroll also had his say on the crash. He called the situation to be awkward as Norris was driving in the middle of the track. He wasn’t sure if Norris would go inside or stay on the line.
He explained, “I had to make a split second decision, and I was on the outside over the kerb, and from there, I kinda turned into the corner, it wasn’t enough room for both of us.”
He added: “It is a shame our race ended like that, we were really in a good position to score some good points. A tough result to swallow.”
Norris finished the race 13th while Stroll had to survive the race after the crash. Lewis Hamilton wrote history winning the Portuguese GP.
