King Of The Table 6 Result: Levan Saginashvili Retires But Still Beats Ermes Gasparini 4-2

King of the Table, the premium arm wrestling event series returned with its sixth installment- King of the Table 6 last month, which took place on Saturday, the 25th of February in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The main event featured a super match between Levan Saginashvili and Ermes Gasparini.

After not one, nor two, but three adrenaline rushing King of the Table events that filled up the arm wrestling calendar last year- KOTT 3KOTT 4 and KOTT 5 – on 2nd April, 25th June and 1st October respectively, we were treated with our first KOTT event of the year with KOTT 6.

The sixth edition of King of the Table is approaching and like its predecessors, features another star-studded lineup. And it was more special due to two reasons- the return of Levan Saginashvili, as well as the comeback of the legendary Denis Cyplenkov.

Pavlo Derbedyenyev vs. Sabin Badulescu

The opening match of the night featured Romanian puller Sabin Badulescu, famed for having defeated Levan in the past, who took on USA’s Pavlo Derbedyenyev, who’d come off a win over Monster Michael Todd at Monster Factory 3.

It was Pavlo who took a 2-0 lead over Sabin after the first two rounds, but the renowned “Levan Slayer” gradually made his comeback in the remainder of the match, winning all of the four remaining rounds and picking up a 4-2 victory over his adversary.

Denis Cyplenkov vs. John Brzenk

The next super match of KOTT featured two icons in arm wrestling- the legendary and acclaimed “G.O.A.T” John Brzenk, who took on the returning Ukrainian legend Denis Cyplenkov.

While everyone had expected an close, neck to neck battle between Denis and John, the match turned out to be a one-sided affair, with Denis having the control throughout the six rounds, and essentially made one of the greatest comebacks in the history of strength sports, having defeated John by a clean 6-0 margin.

Levan Saginashvili vs Ermes Gasparini

The main event of KOTT 6 and the final super match of the night took place between the “Georgian Hulk” Levan, taking on the rising arm wrestling superstar from Italy, Ermes Gasparini.

While the first four rounds had Levan coming out on top, it was no easy task for the Georgian as Ermes put up brilliant contains each time, and went neck to neck against Levan who is known for his domination on the table.

However, the most dramatic moment of the match was during the fifth round, when after committing two fouls, Levan was unable to continue and was had to be given oxygen, and he decided to forfeit, awarding the rest two rounds to Ermes, but still winning the main event 4-2.
