Pro wrestling fans can now get ready for a WWE baby as John Cena and Shay Shariatzadeh, who have been married for two years, are pondering the next big step- becoming two loving parents.

According to latest reports, the WWE Superstar and actor is now unfolding the idea of having kids after publicly stating he didn’t want any. Cena began dating Shariatzadeh, a Product Manager for Sonatype, in March 2019 and later got married in October 2020, and their romance has only grown stronger.

“He said for so long that he didn’t want kids but now he’s warming to the idea more and more,” claimed a source, as per US Weekly, “They’ll go with the flow but it’s different with Shay, he feels wiser and more ready for the responsibility. It’s something they’d both love, for sure.”

John Cena was unsure about becoming a dad seven months ago

While speaking to actress and producer Drew Barrymore back in January, John Cena was still unclear about becoming a father anytime soon, claiming that it was difficult for him to balance between putting in “an honest day’s work” and being “the best partner and husband” to his wife.

“This is just my perspective, totally not qualified, but I think just because you might be good at something, for me, is not a strong enough reason to do that. You have to have passion for it. You have to have a fuel for it,” Cena told Barrymore, “It’s like saying to someone, ‘Man, you know you are pretty good with your hands. You would be a great carpenter.’ But if I want to be an actor, I am going to be an actor. Just to say to somebody you have a great interaction with young people, that’s flattering.” [H/T ET Canada]

However, what appears now is that the 45-year-old has made a change in his perspective.
