16 times World Champion John Cena is looking forward towards his next match inside the WWE ring.

CENA HAS NOT BEEN A PART OF WWE STORYLINES SINCE WRESTLEMANIA 36

The penultimate match of the second night of WrestleMania 36 involved John Cena and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. The former came out for his match in the Performance Center, assuming his match was taking place in the ring. Wyatt was then shown in the Firefly Fun House, stating that he would actually be facing himself before exiting through the fun house’s door. “The Franchise Player” was then teleported to the Firefly Fun House.

After a series of dream sequences, Wyatt defeated his opponent. Following Wyatt’s victory, the motionless body of the vanquished opponent vanished from the middle of the ring Big Match John has not been seen in WWE since then and has largely been focused on his acting career.

In the meantime, Cena got married to engineer Shay Shariatzadeh and got himself a spot in the popular the Fast and Furious movie franchise. The promotion of F9, however, created a controversy when a clip of Cena calling Taiwan a nation became viral. China does not accept Taiwanese sovereignty and Cena had to apologise for hurting Chinese sentiments.

However, a return has been believed to be imminent. Fans have long speculated a showdown between Big Match John and “The Head Of The Table” Roman Reigns, and Summerslam, which WWE is trying to present as a major event, is a suitable place for the aforementioned showdown.

MVP promptly replied to the tweet, indicating the option for a match against WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.

While a showdown against Reigns is more plausible at the moment, John Cena vs Bobby Lashley, too, provides the possibility of a enjoyable encounter.

Cena is a five-time United States Champion, four-time world tag team champion, and a 16-time world champion. He is tied with Ric Flair for the most world championship reigns in WWE history, including 13 with the WWE Championship, a record for the title. He is also a two-time Royal Rumble match winner, a one-time Money in the Bank winner, and has headlined several major WWE pay-per-view events, including their flagship event, WrestleMania, five times.

Thus, a match against either of the two World Champions would be interesting because if he won, he would break Flair’s long-standing record to become the WWE superstar with most World Championship wins.
