American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has spoken out after one guest shared a video of serenading her husband Ben Affleck at their wedding ceremony in Georgia, stating that the video “was taken without permission”.
Jennifer Lopez “had NDAs and asked everyone to not share anything” from the wedding
Jennifer Lopez is well known for being a substantial entertainer yet this does not imply that her every performance is for the consumption of the people in general.
The moment when the 53-year-old singer arranged a memorable and special serenade for Ben Affleck, her new husband at their Georgia wedding reception on 20th August, the actress planned to keep things private at least for some time.
Even so, the footage got leaked to the internet on the 26th of August. Since then Lopez clearly said she did not approve its release.
The ‘Dinero’ singer spoke up against a wedding attendee whom she says “took advantage” and “sold” a video to TMZ of her serenading husband Ben Affleck last weekend at their wedding celebration in Georgia last weekend.
She wrote in an Instagram comment which was shared by fan account @jlow0rld, “This was taken without permission. Period. And whoever did it took advantage of our private moment. I don’t know where you all are getting it from bc we had NDAs and asked everyone to not share anything from our wedding. That is our choice to share.”
“Anything I put out private is OnTheJLO and it’s to share w my fans. Which I will do when I am ready to. This was stolen without our consent and sold for money. Thank you for caring I love you guys,” added Lopez.
It was visible in the video that Lopez sings to Affleck who was seated in a chair directly across from her, smiling and enjoying the performance, before she holds the mic out to the guests around them to hop on the superhit track Can’t get enough.
“All night / I can feel the passion / in your eyes / I’m still in love with you,” sings the bride as she was surrounded by backup dancers.
Last Saturday, with more than 100 guests the couple held their wedding celebration at the 87-acre compound of the Oscar-winning actor on Hampton Island Preserve in Georgia, after their warm ceremony in Las Vegas the previous month.
The main ceremony was held on the back lawn under a framework filled with white flowers and the courtyard was covered with thousands of candles. It was executed by Jennifer’s longtime friend Jay Shetty. Everyone who attended the main event on Friday wore white and it also featured a traditional Southern-inspired, family-style dinner.
The location of the ceremony holds a special meaning to the couple as per the reports of PEOPLE. “Ben bought the property 20 years ago when they were engaged first time around,” said a close source to PEOPLE, “They have a special connection there, and his 50th birthday was last week so it made sense to do it there and then.”
