After the first-ever CARS Tour race of Dale Earnhardt Jr, he took X to express his emotions and how the day was for the legendary driver. He wrote:

“Got to race my late model stock this weekend in Jacksonville NC. Had a blast. Raced hard. Was a bit too excited and bent it up a bit, but we bench raced after the checkered and drank a 6 pack each. Family came along in the camper and enjoyed the attractions near the beach. It’s hard to explain how much fun it is to race the local short tracks again. Going to spend the next few months with friends and family making memories this summer. Next Late Model race for me will be near the end of July.”
