Inter Milan midfielders Radja Nainggolan and Roberto Gagliardini are the latest players to contract the disease and will join the list of players with COVID which currently includes Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni.
According to a report from the La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Inter Milan duo will miss the upcoming derby. While Inter Milan is yet to confirm the positive cases, the source reports that the absence of the midfielders concerns manager Antonio Conte, who has to make the necessary changes to deal with the resurgent AC Milan. The Belgian midfielder was tipped for a move to Cagliari during the recent transfer window.
Alessandro Bastoni, on the other hand, tested positive and was sent back home from the Italy under-21 camp.
“The Nerazzurri defender is totally asymptomatic and will self-isolate as required by hygiene protocols,”
Meanwhile, centre-back Skriniar is hoping for a negative result following a second test during the International break in Slovakia.
